Hong Kong

Well, here I am!

I’m writing these lines at the Goethe-Institut in Hong Kong with a nice view over Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. After a very pleasant flight of roughly 12h the swift landing was on time at 16:35 local time. I immediately headed for the hostel, which is on Kowloon. My friend gave me all the directions I needed and on my way there I was already in awe of all the new impressions around me.

The first walk around town last night was already quite impressive and today I’ll get a notion of what Hong Kong is like on day time and can make plans on what to do when I get back here before leaving to return home. My friend here has already seen a lot and has some hints. So I’ll do that when I come back.

Tomorrow morning we’re planning go to Guangzhou by train before taking the plane to continue to Guilin the day after that.

That’s it for the moment. I just saw that I’ve got the last missing credits for my Master’s Degree, which of course is very good news! I hope the next news will come from within PRC.
