Today I have seen the movie “Hotel Rwanda” starring Don Cheadle. I’m kind of speechless. I think this is probably the strongest movie I’ve ever seen. As this all happened I was a foolish 13 year old teenager, but I remember the pictures I’ve seen on TV. And I remember that I never understood why this cruel war was going on in this tiny country in the heart of Africa.
I still don’t understand.
But what I understand even less is the behaviour of the UN and the people behind it. What the heck was that all about? How could they sit at their hand watching it and not doing anything…
It’s not that they hadn’t contribute to the origin of the conflict.
I call upon everyone who hasn’t seen the film to make up for it.
All my admiration goes to Paul Rusesabagina.
